| Address Bar |
The Address Bar shows you the web address (URL) of the current page and lets you enter page addresses manually. The combo box remembers your most recent entries. You can also perform searches directly from the Address Bar.
You can open a new page using Surf-Ahead from the Address Bar by pressing Shift+Enter when you're done typing the address. This is especially useful when you want to enter several similar addresses because the Address Bar remains active, allowing you to quickly modify its contents and open more pages with Shift+Enter.
If you enter non-URL text in the Address Bar, the text is sent to a search engine and a search results page is opened. You can also explicitly do a search from the Address Bar by entering "?", "find", or "go", followed by search keywords. A quoted word or phrase is also considered a search. Here are some sample Address Bar searches:
Search terms entered on the Address Bar are automatically added to the Edit/Find dialog, letting you easily find particular occurrences of the search term within a page, using the Edit/Find or Edit/Find Again commands The search engine used by the Address Bar can be customized in the Tools/iRider Options dialog's General tab.
Hold down the Ctrl key when entering a word in the Address Bar to surround the word with "www." and ".com". You can also use Ctrl+Shift+Enter to convert to "www-.com" and Surf-Ahead. |
