Important iRider update
iRider version 2.52 is now available for download.
This update fixes minor security problems and features bug fixes and performance
improvements.
For security reasons, this update is strongly recommended.
And for the many users who requested it, the Create Shortcut command
has also been re-enabled and no longer poses a potential security risk.
Vista Service Pack 1 recommended
Microsoft has finally released Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1),
which includes a raft of bug fixes for Vista. We recommend that most
Vista users install this service pack since it fixes compatibility problems with iRider
and many other programs. See the Vista SP1 page.
Unfortunately, a few Vista users are unable to install SP1 or are
seeing problems, mostly with certain kinds of hardware and device drivers. This Microsoft Support Page describes
these problems, and may be worth consulting before you install SP1.
As will surprise no one who follows the technology press, we still
cannot recommend Windows Vista. If you're using Windows XP, we'd advise you not to upgrade
to Vista, and buyers of new computers should consider having XP installed, which is an
option many manufacturers still offer.

Plagued by script errors?
Some iRider users are seeing "Script Error" message boxes
when they access some websites and would like to suppress these messages. To do so, follow
these steps:
Use the Tools menu Internet Options command, then click the Advanced
tab
Under the "Browsing" section in the list of checkboxes,
make sure each "Disable script debugging" option is checked ON (there may be
more than one), and that "Display a notification about every script error" is
unchecked (OFF).
Click OK
Script errors are caused by bugs in the website you're accessing.
iRider previously suppressed script errors like these regardless of your settings, but
some users need to check their own sites for errors, so iRider now respects your current
Internet Options.
