The Page List
Fly
around iRider's visual map of all the pages and sites you're working with
Perfect for comparing products on a shopping site, flipping through
search results, and referring quickly to sets of pages
The Page List liberates you from the limitations of the
Back/Forward buttons and website links
Just click on any open page to go to it instantly. Or navigate the
Page List the usual way, by clicking links and using the familiar Back and Forward
buttons. Back and Forward also work instantly, and if you click a link to a page that's
already open, you're taken to it instantly
Drag through the Page List to riffle through pages, just like flipping
through a magazine (well, actually a lot faster than that)
Manipulate entire sites or all pages at once. Close several pages at
once by dragging across their close buttons
Open hundreds of pages without overtaxing memory. iRider's
sophisticated memory management works automatically |

Use larger page thumbnails when browsing photos, etc., or smaller ones
when browsing text |
Eliminate the wait
with Surf-Ahead
Right-click
links to Surf Ahead. Pages download while you stay on your current page
When you're done with a page, the next one's usually ready
instantly. Pages wait for you you don't wait for them
Use Surf-Ahead and the Next Page button (see below) to flip through
pages at top speed. You may not need that fast internet connection after all
Stay focused: completely finish a page before reading linked pages,
while feeling free to click any links of interest
With iRider, you're never in doubt about whether you've seen
everything you wanted to see on a website: just Surf-Ahead any link and go through them
all with the Next Page button
(Context menus can be opened by holding the right button down for a
moment. Mouse buttons can also be customized.) |
Open several links
at once
Select
multiple links or favorites (bookmarks) and click one to open all of them at once. Much
faster than clicking them one-by-one!
Flip through them with the Next Page button as they download
ahead of you at maximum speed
Put your fast Internet connection to work for you: open entire piles
of pages and flip through them as fast as you like
Turn a list of product links into a set of product pages,
then peruse them like a catalog |
The Next Page button
Click
Next Page (or the F4 key) to go instantly to the next downloaded page that you haven't
visited yet. No need to hunt the Page List or a row of tabs for the next downloaded page
Use Next Page in combination with Surf-Ahead to fly through
websites!
Next Page visits downloaded pages until you've visited all of them.
You can rapidly traverse an entire site or at least the stuff you're interested in
without having to think about where you are, where you've been, and whether you've
seen everything you wanted to see
If your current page is taking too long to download, click Next Page
to go to one that's finished; when the first page is done, Next Page will return to it |
Search several search
engines at once
iRider
Search lets you query several search engines at once, chosen from dozens of search engines
in several categories, including images, video, audio, news and shopping
You can even select entire categories at once, such as Images. Why not
you won't have to wait for them to download
In record time, you'll have exhaustively researched your subject of
interest, something that would take a huge amount of time and effort with an ordinary
browser
Your search terms are automatically sent to the Find command, making
it easy to find any or all of them within a page |
Pin pages
Pin pages to mark them and prevent them from being closed
Pin all the good pages you found in a search, then close all the
others with a single click
Add all pinned pages to your Favorites (bookmarks) at once
Pin the pages you always use news, weather, a webcam so
they're always on your "desk," the iRider Page List
Pin or unpin several pages at once by clicking and dragging across
their pins |
Add several
pages to Favorites at once
Add
piles of pages at once to your Favorites (bookmarks) with a single command
Save all the products you're interested in on a shopping site
Save an entire window full of pages and sites, so you can return to
them later
Create Favorites Books, described below
iRider lets you work with sets of pages, not just one page at a time |
Favorites Books
Click on a Favorites Book to open all the pages inside at
once
Open your daily reading with a single click
Open all the documents related to a project at once, for quick
reference in the Page List
Create Books in a Favorites folder or on the Links Bar, as shown here
Books are standard folders containing standard bookmarks, so you can
access them in all other programs, unlike proprietary page sets created by other browsers
You can even create Book Links on a webpage. See Great Rides on iRider.com. |
Exchange sets of pages
with others
Send or receive entire sets of pages via email, instant
messaging or a document, using standard URLs
Copy several pages as URLs and Paste them into a message
|

Copy text containing several URLs and Paste them into iRider
to open all the pages
Any non-URL text is ignored, so you can Copy any mixture of URLs and
text |
Keep pop-ups out of your
way
Pop-up ads open
under your current page, so they don't get in your way
As you advance through pages, you can either skip them
instantly or read them, just like an ad in a magazine
The dirty secret of pop-up blockers is that they block some pages you
really need, need to be configured, and deny free websites the ad-views they need to
survive.
Pop-up blockers have also just encouraged advertisers to use more
obnoxious kinds of ads, such as layer ads that appear within pages.

Mozilla's pop-up blocker: at least it's honest
